The Nottingham Male Voice Choir
The Choir performs an average of ten concerts each year
for churches, charities and community groups. It has occasionally
combined with ladies choirs to give public performances and has
combined with other Male Voice Choirs to celebrate notable occasions.
The most recent events were the Southwell Concert in 2006 and the joint
concert with Minehead in 2007.
Previously the Choir has performed at the Patchings Art Centre, Calverton near
Nottingham on two occasions and has hosted visiting Male Voice Choirs:-
The Abertillery Male Voice Choir were invited for a joint concert
along with the Nottinghamshire Constabulary Band to perform in a
celebration to mark the 125th anniversary of the Nottinghamshire branch
of the Red Cross. This concert was performed in the Albert Hall to a
capacity audience.
In 2001 the Drybrook and District Male Voice Choir, near Ross on Wye,
accepted an invitation to perform joint concerts in Drybrook and
Gloucester in support of cancer relief.
The choir has just recorded its second CD. See the
details on this page. With a little help from
our friends we think the result is both well presented and excellent
quality.
