Directions to Venue

FROM QUEENS MEDICAL ROUNDABOUT, head South along the Ringroad, (Clifton Boulevard) over the Dunkirk Flyover, and in 1 mile, over the River Trent at Clifton Bridge.

Keep in one of the two right-hand lanes, and head for the A453 (S.P. M1 / South / Birmingham) towards Clifton, taking the right-hand bend as the road goes under the flyover, and continue towards Clifton. (Avoid the left-hand filter road to Silverdale).

Pass through 3 sets of traffic-lights along the A453 (Clifton Lane) for a mile or so, and on reaching a large island where the A453 forks right for East Midlands Airport, KEEP LEFT (still Clifton Lane) and signposted Gotham & East Leake. (6 Miles)

Travel all the way to Gotham (Nottingham Road), through Gotham as it takes a right bend, and in due course, a left bend, keep on this road out of Gotham, and head towards East Leake (Leake Road).

Go forward at a mini-island, and pass the Gypsum Works on the right-hand side, and a little further on, Rushcliffe Golf Course, also on your right. The road takes a right bend and up to a T-junction. Turn LEFT here, into Gotham Road, and follow the road as it takes another right-hand bend; forward at a mini-island and up to the next T-junction (about half a mile) into the village of East Leake.

Turn RIGHT into Main Street. Pass the Village Hall and the Catholic Church, Lady of Angels, on your right. The road now bends to the left, and in a hundred yards, the Parish Church of St Mary’s can be seen, set back on the RIGHT-HAND side. Opposite the Church is the Three Horseshoes Pub and car-park, there is also limited on-street parking, and we are advised that the Catholic Church car-park can also be used by the choir.

CHOIR TO MEET IN ST MARY’S CHURCH HALL, ADJACENT TO 3 HORSESHOES PUB AT 7 PM FOR 7.15 PM LATEST - BRING A BROLLY!!

Those coming from the east side of Nottingham may prefer to head for the Nottingham Knight Pub (near Wilford Hill / Southern Cemetry), follow the A60 (Loughborough Road) to by-pass Ruddington and Bradmore, through Bunny, up and over Bunny Hill, then RIGHT in Costock (Leake Road – SP East Leake) and straight on into Main Street, East Leake, continue forward to pass the Catholic Church on your right, and arrive, after a further 200 yards at St Mary’s Church, set back on your right-hand side.
