Do you enjoy listening to music?
Yes!

Can you sing in tune?
Yes!

Then come and make music instead of just listening and enjoy the comradeship, concerts and social events that membership of a male voice choir can bring! Practice night is Thursdays at 8pm in St. Mary's Church Hall, Wollaton Hall Drive, Wollaton Park NG8 1AF. (Opposite the Q.M.C., click on the postcode for a map).

Frequently Asked Questions.

Do I need to be able to read music?
No!

Will I have to take a test?
The choir policy is to welcome all who wish to join. Only rarely are informal tests arranged.

How is the choir funded?
Members do pay annual subscriptions - less than £1 per week (free to student members) but majority of income comes from concert fees and fundraising events which double up as social events for the choir and their partners (some of which form the ladies support group who organise fundraising events)

Any age restrictions?
No, so long as your voice has broken.

Does it matter what voice I sing?
No, the Choir voices range from Bass through Baritone to Second and First Tenor.

What if I don't know what voice I am?
We will find the section of the choir suited to your voice.

How often do we have concerts?
We generally have about 12 concerts a year, some of which are on the Thursday rehearsal night. We do have a break in the summer, and over the usual public holidays.

Can I just come along and observe at a concert or rehearsal to see if I would like to join?
Yes, please do, you will be very welcome.
